Hauppauge, NY | March 11 , 2020: Vicon Industries, Inc., designer and manufacturer of video surveillance and access control software, hardware and components, this week welcomed Kurt Gerald, who will serve as the new Sales Application Engineer for the eastern territories of the US domestic sales division.
Kurt’s experience prior to Vicon has been working at the dealer level in the fields of sales engineering, training and direct sales. Throughout his career, Kurt’s drive and passion for the industry has led him to take on numerous roles. He has spent nearly the last four years at Select Security split between a technical trainer and direct sales/sales engineering.
At Vicon, Kurt aims to use his combination of technical experience and sales background to assist in spearheading the advancement of the sales team on all levels. Kurt attended Horry-Georgetown Technical College in Conway, South Carolina, where he studied engineering technologies.
In Kurt’s free time, he enjoys fishing and is an avid golfer. He and his wife, Katy, are excitingly awaiting the arrival of their son due mid-May.
