VAX Access Control streamlines solutions to provide real-time awareness and protection of your property. The latest release focuses on enhancing useability and monitoring, improving reaction times, and facilitating a seamless interface between VAX and our Valerus Video Management System (VMS).
The VAX and Valerus VMS integration provide centralized management of alerts and notifications directly from the Valerus interface. This ensures operators can see a complete picture of their access control and video surveillance from a single interface.
The integration helps operators visually verify and respond to important access control events as they happen. They can see live door events–such as entry denied events or when a door is forced open–directly from Valerus’ live monitoring screens. They can see video and all details of the event without leaving the monitoring interface.
Operators can see potential threats and can visually verify and respond to potentially life-threatening events with incredible speed having the ability to lock down doors directly from Valerus’ monitoring interface.
Lastly, centralization also allows users to monitor alarms centrally. System administrators can configure custom alarms to better manage, track and report on system-wide events.
Extensive Customization allows users to enable the event notifications they want and need to see first. Rather than sifting through dozens of irrelevant alerts, users can now customize the types of notifications that appear, enabling proactive decision-making within the traditional VAX interface.
Using web pushes, stakeholders can receive high-priority notifications even when they’re multi-tasking or not currently logged into VAX. These notifications are customizable by System Admins, so you can ensure the right people get the proper notifications.
For those seeking advanced security protection, the new Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) support enables a reliable and secure connection between access control system readers and door controllers. OSDP encryption increases security and provides peace of mind for any surveillance operation by eliminating the risk of “man-in-the-middle” attacks. This feature improves your access control system with end-to-end encryption and is ideal for applications such as government locations that mandate compliance with specific federal access control directives.
