Vicon Appoints Industry Veteran Darren Cawte as UK Sales Manager Serving Southwest UK

Hauppauge, NY | February 14, 2022 — Vicon Industries, Inc., a subsidiary of Cemtrex Inc. (Nasdaq: CETX, CETXP, CETXW), designer and manufacturer of video surveillance and access control software, hardware, and components, recently announced the appointment of Darren Cawte as UK Sales Manager serving the southwest UK.

Cawte has over six years of experience within the security sector, notably with some of the industry’s most prominent manufacturers and smart-home security companies.

Before joining the team at Vicon, Cawte worked at ERA Home Security as a Project Manager and UK Sales Manager and at ABUS as Regional Sales Manager. His extensive experience, specifically within retail channels, has provided him exceptional insight into understanding security hardware and using that insight to address customer pain points.

At Vicon, he aims to bring fresh ideas and experience from other sectors to broaden Vicon’s expansion into the UK. His expertise within the technology industry fuels his desire to cultivate existing and develop new relationships with system integrators, architects, and end users.
