Vicon SMS System Topology System TopologyThe diagram above shows a typical network installation. Each system requires one controller and one or more nodes. Nodes serve as the portal to the network for access control hardware, such as card readers, temperature sensors and relay switches. Each node may be populated by up to seven “application cards.” Different types of cards interface with different types of hardware. The system can be administered using a standard web browser on any PC. The browser-based interface is intuitive and easy to use. No special software is required at the PC.
