Regional Sales Manager – Arizona Region (AZ, NM, CO, UT)

Vicon Industries is looking for a Regional Sales Manager for the Arizona region.  We have recently launched a brand new Video Management Solution that has become the focal point of the company and our customers.  Along with an integrated access control solution and updated cameras and edge devices, Vicon has set out to enable video to become the most valuable digital resource to our customers’ and partners’ business solutions.  We are looking for several key sales team members to help us contribute to this effort. This position will be a key contributor to Vicon’s future success.
This position requires a person with strong multi-tasking and communication skills that will help balance the demands of numerous customers while building a strong pipeline of opportunities.

Independent Job Tasks:

  • Comprehend and communicate Vicon’s competitive advantages and go to market strategies
  • Build strong relationships with resellers, end-users and design consultants in the territory by being knowledgeable about Vicon’s solutions and dependable in supporting their needs.
  • Use these relationships to support and grow the sales of Vicon’s products and solutions to the resellers in the territory.
  • Network in the market to find sources of lead opportunities and follow them through to closing
  • Work and communicate closely with Vicon’s staff in NY to report sales activity and opportunity via Vicon’s CRM system.
  • Support a corporate forecast and pipeline report that delivers accurate demand information for use in Vicon’s production manufacturing
  • Work with Vicon Marketing to support branding requirements and assess the marketing needs in the channel
  • Travel to the various areas in the territory to conduct personal meetings and sales calls on a regular basis. (65% travel)

Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

  • At least three years of experience in sales management in a technology sector or B-to-B.
  • Self-confidence and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to operate as a team leader.
  • An ability to leverage good judgment when challenged with pricing pressure and competitive strengths.
  • Strong technical understand with video technologies, network design/troubleshooting and software..
  • Ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or technologies.
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to perform in a self-managed environment must be a “self-starter”.
  • Preferred residency in the Phoenix, AZ area.

Responsibilities:

This position reports to Vicon’s Senior Vice President of Sales based in New York, and will be responsible managing a multi-customer sales territory of resellers, consultants and end-users in order to build demand and grow the sales of Vicon products and solutions.

Education:

  • Bachelors’ degree, preferably in a major with emphasis on business, communication or marketing.
  • Post Graduate work a plus.

Middle East Sales Manager, Middle East (Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Egypt)

Vicon Industries is looking for a Sales Manager for Middle East. The purpose of the Sales Manager is to strengthen Vicon’s presence, maximize revenue, drive sales activities in Middle East, influencing key end-user decision makers, develop further growth plans with our top integrators and penetrate prospect integrators for new business together with the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all operations within a Kuwait, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
  • Manage, develop and expand territory reseller partner base
  • Prospect, develop and expand territory A&E resources
  • Produce detailed annual business operating plans
  • Prepare business performance reports, on a monthly/quarterly basis
  • Sales of Vicon products via partner channels
  • Develop relationships and on-going cooperation with territory eco-partner resources
  • Provide the highest quality and time responsive service to territory partner base

Customer Service:

  • Daily interface with current and target clients
  • Customer focused in all activities to ensure maximum business return

Communication:

  • Regular internal & external communication with internal & external customers
  • Delivery of presentations one to one and to large groups of people
  • Production of high quality business proposals for potential customers
  • Production of weekly diary report for review by Manager

Independent Job Tasks:

  • Travel as needed and within assigned budget locally, regionally and to/from UK (max 10 days per year)
  • Field presentations for partner and events
  • Scheduling of time, meetings, travel, etc.
  • Documentation of all sales opportunities in CRM from inception through the sales cycle to close
  • Timely expense management and reporting to company requirements
  • Monthly forecast preparation and sales pipeline review/update with sales management personnel
  • Distribution and follow up on leads assigned via internal process
  • Project registration and project pricing management in coordination with your distributor and reseller partners as well as sales management personnel
  • Weekly/ Monthy/ Quaterly/ Year-end activity reporting
  • Regional trade show and event participation
  • RFP/RFQ/RFI response generation and management

Professional Qualifications:

  • More than 6-8 years of experience in the Middle East and African region with security and/or video surveillance is mandatory.
  • Proven sales record and revenue growth driver skills
  • Business level English verbal and written skills
  • Excellent presentation skills regardless audience environments
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated follow up skills and closing experience
  • Competent IT technical skills e.g IP technology understanding and networking expertise will be considered an asset
  • Experienced expense, travel, and time management skills
  • Excellent organization skills
